The remuneration of an employee must comply with the minimum amounts set by law (the French statutory minimum wage, SMIC), by the relevant industry-wide collective bargaining agreement (conventional minimum wage), and by any applicable company-level agreement.
The employer is legally required to pay the most favourable minimum wage applicable to the employee.
